Private Pool Villas in Djerba — Halal-Friendly

Yes: villa Diamant sleeps 8 as standard and up to 10 with two extra beds, across 4 bedrooms (2 of them en suite), 3 bathrooms and 211 m² of covered space all on one level, on a 639 m² plot, with a private 8 × 5 m infinity pool, an integrated jacuzzi and a paddling pool. Saphir (6 + 2) only reaches 8 with the extra beds, and is not available to rent before summer 2027. For two households, Opale and Jade share a connecting door: 9 guests as standard (5 + 4), up to 13 with the extra beds. Every villa is rented whole, with its pool for your exclusive use.

Jade (4 as standard: 1 double bed + 2 single beds) or Opale (5: 1 double bed + 3 single beds); a baby under 2 sleeping in a cot does not take up a bed. Baby equipment (cot, bedside crib, high chair, car seat, booster seat, baby bath, playpen) is available to hire, price on request; a child's bike is €5/day and a child bike seat €1/day (ages 2 to 6). Every villa has a play area; Diamant and Saphir have a paddling pool. Pool depths: Diamant 0.60 – 1.90 m, Saphir 0.90 – 1.50 m, Opale 0.90 – 1.60 m, Jade 1.00 – 1.70 m; around the pools, supervising children is compulsory and is the parents' responsibility. On services, a child pays 50% of half board or full board and a baby nothing; the airport transfer is €5 per child per journey, free for a baby, with a baby seat provided free of charge on request. Prices in euros, whole villa, per night: low season (January–March and November–December) €110 to €130; mid-season (April–May and October) €160 to €190; June €170 to €280; July–August €190 to €310; September €165 to €265. From 7 nights: from €100 in low season, €145 in mid-season, €155 in June, €170 in July–August, €150 in September. From 14 nights: from €90, €130, €140, €155 and €135. A week runs from €700 (Jade, low season) to €1,960 (Diamant, July–August). Minimum stay 3 nights. Included: standard breakfast, welcome meal, cleaning on arrival and on departure, Wi-Fi, covered parking. The exact price for your dates is the one in the online calendar.

The 21-nights-and-over tier exists only in low and mid-season. Low season (January–March, November–December): Jade €65 a night, Opale €70, Diamant €85. Mid-season (April–May, October): Jade €115, Opale €125, Diamant €145. Saphir has no long-stay rate and is not available to rent before summer 2027. There is no 21-night tier in June, July–August or September. A 30% deposit is due at booking if the stay starts more than 30 days out, the balance 30 days before arrival, and no security deposit is taken. All four villas are single-storey.

Villa Diamant is the only one with a heatable pool, as an option at €10 a day, all year round (see the “heatable pool” column in the comparison table). Jade, Opale and Saphir have no heating.

What the table does not tell you: outside summer, the result depends on the weather and the air temperature — a week of cold wind limits what heating can do. If you are counting on swimming in January, tell us before you book: we will give you a straight answer about what your dates allow.

Three villas are available to rent for winter 2026-2027: Diamant, Opale and Jade. Saphir is occupied until 30 June 2027 and cannot be booked before summer 2027. If the nights are not free back to back in one villa, we offer a split stay across two villas (Jade then Opale, for instance). Minimum stay 3 nights; check-in from 4 pm, check-out before 10 am. Low-season rates apply from November to March, mid-season rates in October and from April to May. The online booking calendar is the reference for any date.

The villas are in Tezdaine, in the municipality of Midoun, in the centre-east of Djerba: allow 25 to 35 minutes from Djerba-Zarzis airport, 6 minutes from Sidi Yati beach and 10 minutes from the shops in Midoun — by car, not on foot. The “the residence” table above sets out the distances and the medical care in detail.

Getting there: private transfer at €10 per adult per journey, a hire car delivered to the villa or to the airport, or a metered taxi outside the airport (€5 to €8 to cross the island, night surcharge). The covered car park inside the grounds takes 4 cars. A car is not essential for a quiet stay; it becomes essential the moment you want to see the island.

Ethic Village Djerba is a private family residence of four self-contained villas: no shared pool and no shared garden, only the covered car park is common. Alcohol is strictly forbidden anywhere in the grounds and the villas are non-smoking indoors. Every villa is equipped with prayer mats, and the direction of the Qibla is marked in every room. The Troujette mosque is a 5-minute walk away, the Khalid Ibn Al Walid mosque 10 minutes on foot. Each villa has its own private pool with no overlooking, behind boundary walls of 4 to 8 m lined with privacy screens; meals you order are handed through a service hatch, without anyone coming in. We welcome families, married couples and single-gender groups; unmarried couples are not accepted.

Ethic Village Djerba is on neither Booking.com nor Airbnb, by choice: you book directly on the site, with no intermediary commission. A 30% deposit if the stay starts more than 30 days out, otherwise the full amount; the rental contract is sent as soon as the deposit is in; the balance is requested 30 days before arrival, with 5 days to settle it; no security deposit; payment by bank card, transfer, bank cheque or chèques-vacances. You cancel through the link in your confirmation email: the deposit is refundable, no explanation needed, up to 30 days before arrival; after that, you are refunded in proportion to how much of the villa is re-let for the same dates. A combined quote for villa plus services (transfer, meals, car) is drawn up on request, valid for 14 days, without holding the villa. Private, always. Each villa has its own pool and its own walled garden, for the exclusive use of its guests; there is no shared pool and no shared garden anywhere in the residence, only the covered car park is common. The boundary walls run from 4 to 8 m depending on the spot and are lined with privacy screens. A caretaker lives with his family in his own house at the centre of the residence, and meals you order are handed through a service hatch, with nobody setting foot inside the villa. The garden and pool technicians come before 7 am, and do not come in.

All four villas are single-storey, with no internal stairs. Diamant offers 211 m² on one level, with two en-suite bedrooms and a self-contained suite (bedroom, shower, WC). You get into the pools by steps (Diamant, Opale, Jade) or by a ladder (Saphir); there is no hoist for guests with reduced mobility. Door and shower widths have not been measured: we answer villa by villa before you book. A review published on the Diamant page (August 2021) says, in the guest's own words: “thank you because you thought of people who have wheelchairs. A villa to recommend warmly!!” (translated from French).

Wi-Fi is unlimited and included, with a network dedicated to each villa; the internet comes in through two 5G routers on two different operators. If the power goes down, the router and the Wi-Fi are carried by the generator, like the rest of the villa, after a short interruption. Every villa has an air-conditioned living room; Jade has a covered terrace, Opale a covered patio, Diamant and Saphir a pergola. Tunisia does not change its clocks: the same time as France in winter, one hour behind in summer.

Yes, load-shedding happens, mostly in July and August: 1 to 3 hours, sometimes several times a week depending on the area; brief night-time cuts are possible during Ramadan; the rest of the year, cuts are rare. Water supply follows the same pattern. Each villa has its own generator: the cut is detected automatically, the team on site handles the switchover, and after a short interruption the whole villa is running again, television and fridge included. Hot water is solar with an electric backup. On the water side, a shared underground tank of 27,000 litres of drinking water feeds the villas, and each villa also has a rainwater tank of 8,000 litres (12,000 at Diamant) with a double filter and a dedicated kitchen tap on a generator-backed pump. Cuts are neutralised in the vast majority of cases; we do not promise “zero cuts”.

Published averages, not a guarantee: from December to February, 18 to 20 °C by day and 10 to 13 °C at night, with a few rainy days possible; Djerba gets around 300 days of sunshine a year. In October, 25 to 28 °C with a sea at 24 – 25 °C; in November, 20 to 22 °C with a sea around 20 °C; in March, 18 to 22 °C. Only the Diamant pool can be heated (option at €10/day, subject to the weather outside summer). Low-season rates from November to March: from €110 (Jade, Opale) to €130 (Diamant) a night, and from €100 a night for stays of 7 nights or more.

Check-in from 4 pm, check-out before 10 am. Let reception know by the day of arrival at the latest so we can arrange a time to meet, and tell us about any delay on the way. Arriving outside those hours, or on another day, is something to ask for before arrival; it is at the discretion of the host on duty. After 8 pm, access is self-service: the keys are in a secure box whose code we email you the day before, and you meet reception the following morning. Early check-in, luggage storage on site and late check-out: on request, depending on that day's occupancy. We take care of the departure clean: you tidy up, do the washing-up and leave the rubbish at the spot we show you.

In the vast majority of cases, yes: ask when you book, in the “remarks” field, with details about the animal. Without prior agreement, reception may refuse to let it in. The guest is responsible for their animal and for any damage it causes; dogs stay outside the villas. No supplement and no deposit.

The 4 villas together sleep 23 guests as standard (8 + 6 + 5 + 4) and 31 with the extra beds, across 11 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms, with 4 private pools; Diamant and Saphir have a connecting door, as do Opale and Jade. In winter 2026-2027, without Saphir, that comes to 3 villas for 17 guests as standard (8 + 5 + 4) and 23 with the extra beds. Exclusive use of the whole residence is quoted on request (villas + transfer + meals + cars): the price is the sum of each villa's rate for your dates, 30% deposit, valid 14 days, without holding the villas. The transfer is in a private vehicle reserved for your group (€10 per adult per journey); a 7-seat people carrier hires at €70 / €75 / €85 a day depending on the season.
