Djerba in November: weather, temperatures and sea
Here is what to expect. November in Djerba feels like the start of a Mediterranean autumn: daytime highs of around 22 to 23 °C, cooler nights at about 15 °C, and roughly 7 hours of sunshine a day on average. Rain does happen, but only now and then: a few days in the month, rarely a whole day. These are the climate averages recorded for Djerba. The sea, and the pool
The Mediterranean cools down in November. It sits at around 23 °C at the start of the month and drops towards 20 °C by the end. It is still pleasant in the first days, and brisker afterwards. That is why your villa’s pool matters more than in summer: at midday, in the sun, it becomes a moment to yourselves. The pools at the Jade and Opale villas are not heated.
The Diamant villa is the exception: its pool can be heated, with water at 29 °C. This is a paid option, €10 a day in November (an extra, never part of the stay). If you want to swim every day in November, this is the villa to choose.
The days
Days are shorter than in summer and the evenings come earlier, which suits meals at the villa and quiet nights in. Bring a cardigan for the evening.
What half board means at Ethic Village Djerba
At Ethic Village Djerba, half board means one meal a day, lunch or dinner, your choice. By 8 PM the evening before, you choose the next day’s meal. Lunch is served between 11 AM and 3 PM, dinner between 6 and 10 PM, and you pick the delivery time.
Meals are prepared in the residence kitchen by our local cook, a specialist in Tunisian cuisine, using fresh produce. They arrive through your villa’s serving hatch: the meal comes in and nobody enters your home. In November, when you often prefer to stay out of the wind, that is the whole point. You eat at home, at the time that suits you.
Standard breakfast is offered on every stay. On your arrival day, a welcome meal awaits you, offered too. Half board takes over the next day and runs until the day before you leave.
What it adds up to for a week for two
Half board is normally worth €12 per adult per day. It is served from the day after arrival to the day before departure, so for the number of nights minus one.

- The Diamant villa: 211 m² on a 639 m² plot, 4 bedrooms, an 8 × 5 m infinity pool that nobody overlooks, a jacuzzi, and its heatable pool (paid option). For those who like space.
The villas are all on one level. Cleaning on arrival and departure is offered. Airport transfer is available as an option, at €10 per adult per trip.

Djerba in November for two, from Tezdaine
Djerba itself is worth the trip: the island is a World Heritage Site for its pattern of land occupation, its old mosques and its menzels (Djerba on the UNESCO World Heritage list). November, being quieter, suits this kind of discovery.
The villas are in Tezdaine, a neighbourhood of Midoun whose name means “the palm trees” in Berber. Sidi Yati beach is 6 minutes away by car, Houmt Souk about 20 minutes and the airport 25 to 35 minutes. Troujette Mosque is a 5-minute walk, and Khalid Ibn Al Walid Mosque 10 minutes.
